A shift on Temper can be set up in just a few clicks. But how do you make sure you always get the best applications for your shift? FreeFlexers use the platform to look for jobs with clients who suit them, and hear from other FreeFlexers which clients they can recommend. How can you become the kind of client that FreeFlexers like to come back to? We give you 4 tips.
1. Place a shift as far in advance as possible
FreeFlexers look for shifts that fit their schedule. We know that most FreeFlexers plan 2 weeks ahead. If you do the same, you will have the best candidates to choose from and be guaranteed to find a match. Depending on your chosen cancellation term you can still cancel the shift if it turns out not to be necessary. This way you remain flexible, but you have the choice of the best candidates!
Of course, it can also happen that you post a shift last minute. In that case, please take into account a higher hourly rate.
2. Choose a suitable hourly rate
Not sure what a fair and suitable hourly rate is? Check the average rate of comparable jobs in your region. In addition, the more urgent the job, the higher the rate. The hourly rate is in fact one of the most important factors to be considered when choosing a job. So you will have more chance on suitable applications if you take our tools into account.
A bonus tip: you can choose to increase the rate automatically if there are no registrations 48 hours before the shift starts.
3. Act immediately when you receive applications
When the applications come in, make sure you don't wait too long with a response. The best-performing clients respond within 22 hours, so this is a good indicator to keep in mind. FreeFlexers prefer to know as early as possible whether they can work for you or not. Our own research has shown that a rejection of an application is better than no response at all or only at the very last moment. An advantage of responding quickly? The FreeFlexer knows where he or she stands and you have enough time to have contact with the FreeFlexer before the shift.
4. Accept the checkout as soon as possible
Or submit a counterproposal if the checkout is not correct. Because, when you as the client accept the checkout, the payment process for the FreeFlexer starts. Because of the factoring option, FreeFlexers get paid within 3 working days after approval of the checkout. It is therefore beneficial if the checkouts of their worked shifts are accepted quickly.
By following these tips, you will show good clientship and build a network of FreeFlexers who would like to work for you!
