You probably know the situation: you have a certain day in mind on which you would like to work or a cool job has caught your eye. In all your enthusiasm you apply, but then you aren't chosen. It's frustrating when this happens often. Fortunately, you can increase your chances of getting a job with the following tips and tricks.
1. Create an attractive profile
Upload a representative, sharp profile picture. Make sure you stand alone and that you're wearing decent clothes. A client is mainly looking for someone with relevant work experience. Enter your work experience in chronological order, so start with your last employer and finish with your first.
2. Apply for 'High Chance' shifts
Shifts with the 'High Chance' label have more open positions than applications. You therefore have a greater chance of being selected.
3. Sign up for more than one shift at a time
On average, you need to apply for 15 shifts to be chosen for one. Apply for several shifts at the same time to increase your chances. Overlapping shifts automatically expire if you are chosen.
4. Activate the 'Keep me informed' function
The 'Keep me informed' function helps you to stay informed about new shifts for a specific day. Enable notifications so you will receive emails.
5. Respond to shifts that do not require work experience
Don't have any work experience yet? No worries. Follow a training course with a client or respond to jobs where no work experience is required, such as: wardrobe assistant, cleaner, site crew member, packer, warehouse worker, merchandiser, service employee and volunteer.
