This might sound familiar: you find a shift you like that fits your diary perfectly, you apply, only to be told you didn’t get it. And if this happens too often it can be very frustrating. But fear not, you can increase your chances of getting a shift, just by following these handy tips and tricks.
Upload a sharp profile picture that really represents you. Make sure you’re standing alone and that you're wearing decent clothes. On top of this, a client is looking for someone with relevant work experience. So make sure you enter your work experience in chronological order, starting with your last employer and finishing with your first.
Shifts with the 'High Chance' label have more open positions than applications. So there’s a much greater chance of being selected.
On average, you need to apply for 15 shifts to be chosen for one. So make sure you apply for several shifts at the same time to increase your chances. And don’t worry, any shifts that overlap will expire if you’re not chosen for them.
The 'Keep me informed' function helps you stay informed about new shifts for a specific day. So make sure your notifications are turned on to receive the emails.
Don't have any work experience? No worries. Follow a training course with a client or respond to shifts where no work experience is needed, like those that ask for a wardrobe assistant, cleaner, site crew member, packer, warehouse worker, merchandiser, service employee or volunteer.
