Yes, your Temper profile has been created! Now you can start applying for all the best shifts. Shit, you're not accepted anywhere. How is that possible? Have you ever thought that maybe your profile is not complete? With these tips, your profile is rock solid and you can be sure that you will not be overlooked the next time when applying for a shift.

1. The right work experience

When you respond to a shift, you won't always be the only one. When picking a suitable contractor, one of the things the client looks at is your Temper profile. Your work experience is an important part of this, so make sure you always fill it out clearly and in chronological order, starting from your last employer to your first. Have you worked for 6 different clients in the past 3 years? Then list all of them. Listing your jobs gives the client a clear indication of your abilities and experience. An example of a well-filled work experience is shown below.

2. Show who you are

Clients are curious to see who has applied to the shift, so it's important that you choose a representative photo for your profile. Choose a photo that shows you clearly and solely, so not with your dog, a beer in your hand or wearing sunglasses.

A good representative photo meets the following characteristics:

  • You are alone in the picture.
  • Good quality: nothing is as annoying as a blurred picture!
  • Professionalism: do you want to work as a chef? A chef's jacket will do just fine then! Do you work in the service industry? Then choose a photo in which you are wearing a black or white blouse/shirt.
  • Smile: do you like working in hospitality, logistics or retail? Smile! Research has shown that people who smile in their photos are more likely to be liked. It goes without saying that a client also prefers to work with an enthusiastic FreeFlexer!

3. Introduction message

On your Temper profile, there is space to write a little bit about yourself. Write about what makes you the professional they are looking for, such as your characteristics and qualities. Have you completed a hospitality, logistics, or retail-related education? If so, mention it here.

4. Personal branding

Be aware that a client may do extra research via Google. So realise that your social media profiles could also be visited by a potential client. Tip: write on your Facebook and LinkedIn profile that you work as a FreeFlexer and are active through Temper, so the client knows that he has the right person in front of him.

Everything right? Time to go nuts! Simply respond to the best gigs and get to work with great clients in your area. Take a look at all open shifts here.
