The appointment marks the next phase for Temper as a platform for flexible work in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Maarten Zoomers remains involved from the Supervisory Board.

Amsterdam, 1 June 2026 - Temper, the largest digital platform for flexible work in the Netherlands and a challenger in the United Kingdom, has appointed Matthijs Tetteroo as Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 June 2026. Tetteroo succeeds Maarten Zoomers, who joins the Supervisory Board on the same date.

Temper enters a new phase of sustainable growth

With this appointment, Temper enters a new phase focused on sustainable growth, product innovation, and the continued development of a platform that meets the needs of workers and businesses in a rapidly changing labour market. Over the past years, Temper has evolved from market challenger into a mature player with a strong position in flexible work and a growing international profile.

Matthijs Tetteroo: twenty years of platform experience

Tetteroo brings over twenty years of leadership experience in building and scaling technology and platform organisations. He served for more than nine years as CEO of Company.info, which he built into an international B2B platform with profitable growth and high customer and employee satisfaction. Earlier in his career he worked as a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, with a focus on technology and media.

Maarten Zoomers, outgoing CEO and incoming Supervisory Board member: six years building a mature platform

Zoomers has been with Temper since 2020 and has helped build the company across several roles. He began as Head of Strategy & Operations, later held the combined role of COO and CCO, and became CEO in 2024. Over these six years, Temper grew into a mature platform, expanded into the United Kingdom, and strengthened its role as a partner in the labour-market debate. The company also broadened its technological foundation into a scalable multi-model platform that supports various forms of flexible work. From his new role on the Supervisory Board, Zoomers will remain involved in the platform's long-term development.

In their own words: the next chapter

Matthijs Tetteroo, incoming CEO: "Temper has built a unique platform position over recent years in a labour market that is changing fundamentally. A great deal of important pioneering work has gone into that, led by Maarten and the Temper team. The engine has been built and is ready to shift into top gear. What appeals to me is the mission: giving workers more control over how they combine work and life, and giving businesses the agility to respond - with a scalable platform that is on 24/7 and offers full transparency to all users."

Maarten Zoomers, outgoing CEO and incoming supervisory board member: "Temper was built on the conviction that work can fit better around people's lives. That conviction is more relevant today than ever. I'm proud of what the team has built over the past years, and I have great confidence in Matthijs as the leader for the next phase. From the Supervisory Board, I will remain closely involved in Temper's long-term direction."

Daan Sanders, chair of the Supervisory Board: "With Matthijs's appointment, we strengthen Temper for its next phase of sustainable growth. He brings the experience and sharpness that fit Temper as a mature platform organisation with international ambitions. At the same time, we're pleased that Maarten remains involved through the Supervisory Board, keeping his entrepreneurship and knowledge available to the organisation."
