The amounts shown on the shift page are always gross amounts. The amount you ultimately receive may differ, as this depends on the type of shift.

Employed shift

The wages you see for employed shifts are gross wages. It does include surcharges like holiday pay and vacation days, but taxes and other deductions still need to be applied. On your payslip, you’ll see the final net amount you receive.

For more details on how your salary is calculated, see this article.

Freelance shift

For freelance shifts, you’re responsible for handling your own taxes.

VAT

The hourly rates you see on the shift page are shown without VAT. This means 21% VAT will be added on top (unless you use the KOR), which you’ll later remit to the tax authorities in your VAT return.

Income tax

You also need to account for income tax. Estimate how much you will need to pay and set this amount aside. That way you can easily pay your income tax at the beginning of next year without any big surprises.
