You have plenty of flexibility in choosing your shifts, but there are certain limits to keep in mind. These rules are different for freelance and employed shifts.
Employed shift
For employed shifts, the rules are a bit more detailed. They’re based on the Working Hours Act, a law designed to protect employees by making sure everyone gets enough rest. It sets rules such as a maximum shift length, a minimum rest time between working days and some more rules to keep in mind.
These rules can affect your ability to apply for shifts and in some cases, shifts you’ve already been accepted for could be cancelled.

Freelance shift
For freelance shifts, the only real limit is that you can work a maximum of 660 hours per year for the same company. This is to encourage freelancers to work with multiple clients.
