What is ‘debtor risk’?

As a freelancer, you send invoices to your client for the work you have completed. In most cases, these are paid on time. But, there is always a risk involved: the so-called debtor risk.

Can you avoid this risk?

If you prefer to avoid this risk, you can choose to only accept shifts for which DirectPay is available. In that case, you pay 2.9% of the invoice amount to Finqle, but in return, they pay you directly after the checkout. Finqle then waits for the client’s payment and takes on the debtor risk themselves.

This way, you, as a freelancer, maintain more control over your earnings and avoid unpleasant surprises.
