What is the assignment agreement for freelance shifts?

For every freelance shift you are accepted for, an assignment agreement is created. The agreement is signed by both you and the client and contains all the terms and conditions for that shift. It protects both parties and ensures clear expectations.

Temper is not a party to this agreement; it is a direct agreement between you and the client.

How does signing work?

Because you have already accepted Temper's Terms of Use, the assignment agreement is automatically created and signed when you apply for a shift. Once the client accepts your application, the agreement becomes legally binding.

You can download the assignment agreement from the shift page of your accepted freelance shift.

What does this mean for you?

By applying for a shift, you agree to all the terms of that shift, including the working hours, hourly rate, tasks, cancellation policy, and required skills. If either party does not meet these terms, the agreement may be terminated and there may be consequences.

For example:

• If you do not meet the shift requirements (for example, by wearing the wrong clothing), the client may mark you as a no-show.
• On the other hand, if you arrive for your shift but the location is closed, you may be entitled to submit a claim.
